How Referrals Work

We make the Home Sleep Testing referral process fast, compliant, and easy for medical offices. Whether your patient completed an SSP Sleep Screener or you’re referring directly for a diagnostic Home Sleep Test, we follow a clear workflow that keeps everything simple and efficient.

Step 1 — Submit Required Documentation

To initiate a diagnostic Home Sleep Test, we require:

  • Physician’s Order (this serves as the referral)

  • Patient Demographics

  • Most Recent Office Visit Notes
    (Required by most insurers to approve the Home Sleep Test)

Service Area — Greater Atlanta Metro

SSP provides Home Sleep Testing services across the Greater Atlanta Metro Region, including:
Barrow • Cherokee • Clarke • Cobb • Dawson • DeKalb • Forsyth • Fulton • Gwinnett • Hall • Henry • Jackson • Rockdale • Walton and additional metro counties

If your practice is located within or near these counties, SSP can fully support your referrals with fast device delivery, next‑day retrieval, and physician‑interpreted reports.

Step 2 — Insurance Verification

Once documentation is received, we verify insurance benefits (when applicable) and communicate any out‑of‑pocket expectations clearly before the test is scheduled.

If the patient prefers not to use insurance, our Self‑Pay rate is:

  • $225 Self‑Pay

  • Patients who complete the SSP Sleep Screener may receive up to a $100 credit applied toward their Home Sleep Test.

Step 3 — In‑Home Device Delivery

We deliver the Home Sleep Testing device directly to the patient’s home.
Our team provides simple setup instructions and ensures the patient is comfortable with the equipment.

Step 4 — Next‑Day Pickup

We retrieve the device the following day — no shipping, no patient travel, no logistical complications.

Step 5 — Board‑Certified Interpretation

All diagnostic studies are interpreted by a board‑certified sleep physician to ensure accuracy and clinical confidence.

Step 6 — Results Delivered Within 48 Hours

We deliver clear, concise results to your office within 48 hours of device pickup, enabling timely decisions and treatment planning.
